ADHD Across the Lifespan

ADHD Across the Lifespan

While ADHD is diagnosed most frequently during childhood, it is a life-long disorder that may result in a wide variety of issues at any age. However, these issues are unlikely to be the same during teenage years as they are during childhood. This may change the way diagnosis occurs, how treatment is conducted, and what accommodations are necessary. Here, we have broken it down into three groups: preschool age, childhood, and teenage years. However, ADHD can also cause difficulties in adult adults of all ages, impacting their work, education, and social domains, among others.

ADHD in Preschool Aged Children

Very young children can often exhibit signs and symptoms of ADHD. Due to their young age, this group of children often require their diagnostic and treatment processes. For more information, click here.

ADHD in Childhood

While the core symptoms of ADHD are often apparent to family and teachers, there are a wide range of other difficulties that children face. For more information, click here.

ADHD in Adolescence

Adolescence is a difficult time fore most, however teenagers with ADHD have additional difficulties that can make activities such as driving and socializing more difficult. For more information about ADHD in adolescents, click here.
