The RACER Lab studies emotion regulation in children with ADHD. We are currently recruiting participants ages 7-17. We are recruiting participants for the Study of Children's Emotions (children with and without ADHD, ages 7-11), the Study of Temperament in ADHD (children with ADD or ADHD, ages 9-14), and the Study of Risky Behavior and Emotion in Adolescents with ADHD (adolescents ages 14-17 with ADD or ADHD) . The Study of Children's Emotions
We are currently recruiting children with and without ADHD between the ages 7-11. Children and their parents will come to the University of Louisville for a 3 hour session to answer questions about the child’s mood and a 2 hour session to measure the child’s heart rate while he/she completes tasks. Following participation, you will provided with a report of you're child's performance on the brief IQ and academic achievement tests, as well as any clinical measures of attention, mood, and behavior. You will also receive up to $20 compensation for your participation.
We are currently recruiting children with ADHD or suspected to have ADHD between the ages 9-14. Children and their parents will come to our lab at the University of Louisville Belknap campus for one 3 hour session. During this session, parents will complete a diagnostic structured interview and questionnaires about their child's mood and behavior. Children will complete questionnaires, two computerized tasks of attention and behavior, and complete the a brief IQ test. Parents will be provided with a free evaluation report summarizing the results of the brief IQ test, as well as any clinical measures of attention, mood, and behavior. Families will also earn $10 for their participation,
Study of Emotions and Risky Behavior for Adolescents with ADD/ADHD
We are currently recruiting adolescents with ADHD or suspected ADHD between the ages of 14 and 17. Teens and their parents will come to our lab at the University of Louisville Belknap campus for one 2 hour session. During this session, the adolescents will fill out questionnaires and take 2 computer tests of attention and concentration. Parents will complete a brief interview about their child's attention, and fill out questionnaires about their child's attention and behavior. Together, the parents and teens will complete a short, 5-minute task where parents and teens talk! Families will be provided with a free ADHD evaluation report summarizing the results of the brief interview, as well a $20 following the completion of the study.
